Potato dumplings with dill sauce recipe

Ingredients:

  • ”Kartacze” potato dumplings - 1 pkg.
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Sauce:
    - A bunch of dill
    - Half a glass of 30% whipping cream
    - 1 glass of water
    - 1 tablespoon of clarified butter
    - 2 cloves of garlic
    - A tablespoon of wheat flour
    - A pinch of turmeric
    - A tablespoon of lemon juice

Preparation:

Step 1
Take frozen dumplings out of the bag and drop them one by one into around 3 liters of lightly salted, boiling water with an added tablespoon of oil. Make sure that the water does not stop boiling.

Step 2
Stir gently so that the dumplings do not stick to the bottom. After they rise to the surface, cook them for ca. 7-9 min. on low heat.

Step 3
Serving suggestion. Best served with dill sauce.

Step 4
Sauce. Add a tablespoon of wheat flour to the cream and mix. Fry the butter with pressed garlic in a pan for about 2 minutes. Add a glass of water. Reduce the heat and add the cream and spices: salt, pepper and turmeric. Cook for a few minutes to thicken a sauce. Add the chopped dill and lemon juice.
